track day- edgewater

well ladies n gents.. last night was my first ever drag racing experience.. been to the track many times, but never had a car worth racing..

well i hit 3 grand on the odo and decided it was time to introduce the balt to the track. overall, i wish i would've dont better but i was bogging bad going into second.. nothing new. but the only race i lost all night was to a GTO... (enter trolls).. the GTO looked sounded and was bad as hell. it ran a 13 flat.. but anyways.. here's my slip. tips and comments are more than welcome

2.2 60 and you rana 15.1 @ 98...yea bullshit all the way. The only way that could have happened is if you missed 3rd gear....3 times

edited the slip? You realize you posted a time slip that shows no 1/4 trap speed right? Put it this way, if you didnt miss a shift and you car is picking up 26mph in the back half, you would be owning a 13 second cobalt. 2.2 60 and a 98mph trap speed is good for a 14.1=14.2 A 9.8 1/8th with a 72 trap is usually good for a low 15 high 14 second car that traps around 93. Unless its awd and then you can bust out a 14.6ish at 93. Than again what do i know....

yeah something isnt right. a 15.1 isnt a 98mph trap. Good 60 though....

haha laloosh went deep. But from my experience preatty accurate.

Laloosh, with a 106 mph trap on street tires. Same FWD car cobalt with slicks, what times could one expect?

there is no way you trapped 98mph in the 1/4 with only trapping 72 in the 1/8th. Your buddy's are wrong. 93-95 sounds about right. unless you totally missed 2nd gear and ruined your 1/8th and that's why you trapped 98 but still ran a 15.1, but that's the only explanation I can come up with.

make another trip back to the track and get a better slip. that's garbage to not have the mph on it. There isn't much that we can really help you with other than practice launching. without mph I can't really tell you what the car is doing.

Being that your trap speed usually goes down with slick i would say you would be knocking right on high 12s. Like a 12.99999 @ 103-104. That is if you bust out a HIGH 1.79 low 1.81 60 and your axles survive.
