Traction VS Me
Traction VS Me
track prep was shitty, it was my first time there car had full tank, full weight, stock tire and 35# of pressure in them. Every run i would spin through second was not a good time.

When you spin your tires your MPH is overly inflated. If he would have hooked his MPH would not have been that high.

You know with street tires track prep does not really make much of a difference- especially on a car like yours where it will spin regardless on the stock tires.

Man your 60ft is half a second of and that is not due to poor traction. You achieve 2.1-2.3 60ft's on street tires in pretty much any car by leaving out of the hole like a granny, and in second gear omly give 75% throttle if you're spinning. What you want to do is to try and get 0 wheel spin in the first 2 gears, just enough throttle to keep the car accelerating without breaking loose, it's all in your right foot.

Don't ride the clutch, just ease out of the hole and then gently accelerate with your foot off the clutch, just like taking of from a stop sign, your clutch should not slip at all. Leave at 1500rpm and lightly feather for just a split second and then gently accelerate through the rest of the gear and shift into second and just modulate the throttle.
i was on and off the throttle in second gear on some of the runs becaus ei thought the clutch was slipping but it was just wheel spin. It is very hard not to spin the tires in first gear i need to screw with my tune and cut down some boost in first gear.
hey don't worry about it.. i'm having the same problems.. and i'm on drag radials.. they will not hook up at all. i don't launch hard.. feather it out.. and they still spin.. i honestly think it's crappy track prep.. why would my tires hook on the street and not the track? doesn't make any sense to me. i was also trapping like 102mph.. and running a 15.3. that was with me spinning the tires till the 1/8 of a mile mark.
