We had a great weekend with both cobalts at the NOPI race in Maryland over the weekend. We qualified the turbo street car in the #1 position with a 9.36 @ 154, won first round with a 9.37 @ 154.9 and ran into some gremlins in the 2nd round that we will have sorted out by St. Louis NOPI race on June 3 & 4. Jason ran a new record and personal best of 7.46 @ 196 MPH in the Pro FWD Cobalt!

Yeah good to hear. Is this the same car that was running in St Louis a few months back? An orange one I think?

 

Anyone have the specs on that Cobalt? What are the mods and how much of it is actually Cobalt?

He built that car pretty much word for word right from the Build Book using the 4T65 Trans modification installation.

 

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Yes this is the same orange cobalt from St. Louis a few months ago. The car is 100% cobalt except for the trans (is a 4t65e from FWD 6 Cylinder). It is a 2.0 L ecotec with GT42R making around 900 HP. Car was a stock LS in January. Come check it out at a NOPI race if we come to your area and stop by the pits a say hello....www.nopi.com.
