(video)first time 14.01 @ 105mph

Well it was my first time. Felt like a total badass after my burnout. Horrible RT, and second run was worse due to header/DP bolt breaking massive leak. So I only made 2 runs, and the first was my best.
Can see mods in my sig, only thing that isn't correct is the exhaust. Preupdated it due to this Wed. I have a appointment at the exhaust shop.

Wish I could get some better tires and get some better 60' get my time into the lower 13's. I want to see a 13.5 or better before winter here.

Time Slip(same slip, just proving it was my car):

I felt good about my time after hearing about a 320whp/340wtq LNF that only ran a 13.7(BEST) and a 14.8(FIRST RUN) at this strip.

Thanks,
Bratboy90

VIDEO ADDED!!!

First timer!!! lol gimme a break. All these mods a on stock exhaust...Car can't breath!!! Haha

Hoping exhaust will fix some issues. I have the Saab motor swap, so turbo cams are hurting me a lil bit.

Car has had the ported stuff on without a tune, once exhaust goes on a re-tune will be a need!

The only thing stopping you from running mid 13's is your launch, I pulled a 13.5 @ 103mph with a 2.0 60' time.

Yea, that's why I've been seeing. When I look around at others times.

Something retarded about that track. Notice the wheel hop...I've never hopped and nor has my SRT4 buddy who came with and blew his motor...What happens when you're pushing 500whp...29psi..And injectors on #1 FAILS!!!

If I can get a 2.0 I'd be happy with the resulting time.

Anything in the 2.2-2.1 range is very respectable for a street tire cobalt. Wheel-hop is because of the stickier surface. More load on the suspension, more bushing deflection, more hop. Need solid CABs

dont pull through the waterbox, don't do a burnout on street tires, and don't do a 1st gear burnout

even though you bogged down a bit. your tires were all slimy instead of sticky.

Exactly. Spin a very short amount to clean them and then go to the line.

It was a horrible track and I doubt it gets any better being we're borderline Canada. LOL. Couple cars there running 9sec 1/4miles!!!

Thanks for all the tips guys, I will have to use them at my next 1/4mile.

got to agree with ex-soccer. lots of mods, little ET. sorry OP, don't mean to bust your chops too hard but it sounds like all your
mods are not working with each other. get that exhaust flowing, and get it retuned. practice at the track, and then post up a respectable
time.

Here's how, with less mods and a still average 2.2 60', a pass should look.

13.625 @ 107. Power is there for low 13's but he's on all season tires and isn't gonna be able to launch any harder than that unfortunately.

Launch at 2.5-3K allways short shift first into second as second is the money gear.... Here's a sub 13.9 at 105+ with a maybe 230-240 WHP GMPPS2 Ion redline. Netted a 2.0 60ty but i was on DR's with solid mounts And at 2700ft at literally the worst prepped track in socal. LACR

just going to take practice to get better O.P. as the run below was prolly my 10th of the night

Sub'd for the info. The first time is always a learning experience. Take what these guys are saying and apply it. It works.

We are going again this Sat.

Also airing the tires down to 20-25 psi in the front

don't air them down too low. i would say 25 or 26 is as low as you want. street tires aren't like a slick where they can run single digit or 10-12psi. go too low on a street tire and the center will collapse and you'll be running on the very outside of the tread and possibly even on the side wall. even at 26psi its flexing the sidewall more than it likes and was designed for
