Went to the track yesterday.

So after a month of waiting for cooler temps and not being able to get past my previous 13.7-13.8s, I decided to go down yesterday. I set a goal of at least hitting a 13.5 and being happy with it. I also picked up 2 18" Enkei EKM3 with Nitto NT-05 non drag radials to run down the track so I wouldn't tear up my RS3s. I ran the tires with 15psi and hooked amazingly. I was actually impressed with how grippy they were for being a street tire. I was launching the car at 3500-4000 with ESC off. I no lift shifted 3rd-4th only.

First run. (car 1833, Whitesell)

Fourth run. This run I no-lift shifted from 3rd-4th and got a CEL for trans temp. Anyone ever have this problem?

I'm actully really happy with my results and as you can see I was very consistent with getting with reducing my times every run. I had a chance to run again after my last run, but a camaro I ran on round 5, jumped back in line to lane 6 and re-ran after he just went and blew an oil line from the starting line to the end of the track. Dude ruined it for some people and most people just left.

Videos of each run might be coming soon, just as long as I can get them off my gf.

Thanks. The tempatures at the strip were just perfect under 60 degrees, wind was blowing the right way, and humidity was great. I couldn't have asked for a better day to run.

Ya. That car is retarded fast. He ran against my buddy's 2011 5.0 Mustang with an intake mani, 373, slicks, intake, catless exhaust, and a tune ran a 11.53 while the s2000 ran a 11.20. A couple of people that were with us were like that thing is unbelievable. It was a close race and was like holy eff. The s2000 had a decent launch, but nothing perfect and still ran that. Haha. We were almost speechless.

his car is a low 10 if he had a launch. he did the last 1/8th mile in 3.6 seconds hahaha

i had one pass in my s2000 and had a better 1/8 mile time and i put down 100 more hp than him so id easily have a 10 sec car with a shitty launch

i trapped the 1/8th at 111mph

Damn. Those s2000 are nuts when turbo'd. If it's that nice out this saturday, I'm probably gonna go again. It was perfect running conditions. You should've had your s2000 out there.
