If you don't mind my two cents I wouldn't use a drag radial for one they don't really ripple like a slick would fwd's need slicks to go

thats terrible but I can relate

haven't been able to net anything lower than a 2.4 60' to date

haven't been to the track yet since I got new tires though...

98 mph trap speed is not half bad though...

MKurley, not to flame. But I dont think your setup with the amount of hp/tq is worth low 14's.

However I could be totally wrong.

HP/TQ wise from dynoed LSJ's, your about equal with a SS/SC. however even them on slicks(stock), assuming they stick...arnt all that fast. (mid-low 15's average).

However, i would like for you to prove me wrong.

joe you gonna be up there this friday night? like i told mike you guys can **** on me all you want for getting the wrx but i know that there is now way in hell the wrx will run a 16.2 or even a 15.6 and in no way am i bashing the cobalt i love the cars but i believe in one of the other threads you had said "You will beat me to the 60' mark. Plus im a seasoned vet at the track (driver mod FTW!) I know how to launch this car, dont you fret little lady. Once your car dies out after 2nd gear its bye bye wrx!!!" And im not saying im the best driver but the wrx is atleast in the 14's ive even heard of a few stock wrx's breaking into high 13's on nasioc, so like i said im not bashing on the balts just a few friendly jabs man!

and I dunno what the **** you guys are running up there, but laern driver mod without slicks and then when you get some, youll be glad you learned a new skill

and I dont wanna hear that the track was unprepped lol..come down here and run at shitty moroso then you shall see what an unprepared track really is like!!

ok no summer tires arent as sticky as winter treads. think about it winter treads are wicked soft becasue its cold thats y they wont even last a summer becasue they get really soft in the summer. dont you ever wonder why when you run summer tires in the winter you can get a massive chirp in 3rd when the roads are bare its becasue its wicked cold and your tires are like steel.

I need some drag bags, that would help quite a bit.
i know that car.. it was mikes NON LSD 05 RL on slick's.. that was a CRAZY ass 60 foot for a stock tuned RL with intake exhaust and mount's.. i believe he was running 14.4 ish at 95 or 96 IIRC.. at 2700 ft altitude.. i was able to run the same times or better with 99 or higher trap's on the stock tires.. of course my 60's SUCKED.. any who jus pratice on the car and get used to launching it with lower tire pressure..

bought it yesterday its not too much more than the wrx a month and i really do not have to worry about anything breaking with it the 6 speed is basically indestructible and the car is basically made to be fucked with and it can take a beating, its an 04 the guy before was in his mid 40's that owned it and his wife made him get rid of it for an audi thing is in mint condition ill try and post pics later today, im planning on heading to the track next friday the only thing that is gonna stop me is i do not have a helmet and i do not have the money to get one by than so if anyone of you guys have one that wants to meet me up there id be glad to borrow it for a few runs.
