Went to the track today!

Just got back from Desoto Speedway's 1/4 dragstrip. it was a very fun and very hot day around 90 degrees. i feel i got some good runs but i know my car can do better. well here are my times.
First run...bogged the engine
r/t .415
60' 2.438
330 6.480
1/8 9.691
mph 76.09
1000 12.471
1/4 14.780
mph 97.50

2nd run
r/t .272
60' 2.252
330 6.257
1/8 9.473
mph 74.12
1000 12.266
1/4 14.582
mph 97.19

3rd run against a turbo civic showcar he got a 15.0, but later got a 14.4.
r/t .461
60' 2.241
330 6.183
1/8 9.354
mph 76.82
1000 12.112
1/4 14.408

Last and best run against a 97 mustang gt. This was funny because he laughed at me when i asked to race him. at the end of the race he was......
r/t .325
60' 2.152
330 6.160
1/8 9.343
mph 76.71
1000 12.102
1/4 14.395
mph 98.17

.....2 cars back

It was a great day and i hope i can do better on a cool night. but what i dont get is how i ran a 14.395 @98.17 and my stock time was 14.7@98.6.
O and the guy with the civic was really cool and his friends were taking pictures of my car and gave me props for the cobalt. he said he was going to post up on this website.

Great 60'. Are you running on the factory Pirellis? If so, how many miles do you have on them?

Great 60foot, track must have been sticky at 90 degrees!!!
Good runs, the heat is what is hurting your mph.

I just got the pics and they're posted under member's rides. You were pretty close to beating that 300 HP Civic from what I hear, you'll get him next time.

What was the temps when you ran stock??? If it was 75 or cooler that would be the difference in the trap speeds.
