first mustang listed must not have been that good of a driver. A full bolt on mustang gt is mid to low 13's when driven right.

Good kills though, love the new turbo balt.

I'm skeptical about some, but good wins. Now put this in the right section next time. The WAR STORIES.

Dead on plus a SRT-4 with those should have won

that is exactly what i was thinking? Is it me or new turbo SS owners are making stuff up they beat everthing in their path lately

Not every driver can take the full potential of a performance car, for instance a GT-500 at my track run low mid 13s. Does that mean the car runs those numbers?? Probably not and it doesnt but the driver is to blame. High performance cars dont drive themselves

LMFAO that's exactly what i was about to say. KB lightning = absolute rape of any cobalt on this site.

i doubt he really had a kb under there. stock blower lightnings can hit those times no problem with bolt ons.

Well I would say he was lying then. A KB L with slick is a mid 11sec truck with DRs they are high 11s. Depending on how much boost its making will play a factor too but when you can pull low 12s on a stock blower L somethings not right.

Some guy in my area just got a SS/TC and tried racing me today. I just laughed and told he might want to start a little lower on the food chain. LOL Its not like you cant hear my extremly loud blower and see my 10 SECOND CLUB sticker on my 1/4 windows.

A Lightning is an auto and they hook very well on the stock suspension. A GT500 on the other had is an 6spd and driven by alot of "older" guys plus it wheel hops like a mother. Add all that up and thats why you are seeing **** times out of them. It took me quite a long time to get launching the car down to where it wouldn't wheel hop or spin.

I G-Teched mine on a road I used to do a lot of test runs on in my GT. Its usally within a .1-.2 of what I would run at the track and I pulled a 12.4 on with it so I would say I would run around 12.6 at the track. Thats not the best time but not bad for someone who dives an auto most of the time. LOL

well no wonder why you beat new mustangs they're just not as good as fox body mustang gt's with full bolt on's.Also Ford Lightnings are ok,not as fast as everyone makes them out to be.Dodge Ram SST's can beat Ford Lightnings anyday.

HAHA are you kidding me, you need to get your **** straight.

A Foxbody with (H/C/I+ full bolt-ons) is on average a 12sec car. A 05+ GT takes gears, exhaust, intake, tune and its in the 12s. Stock vs stock a new GT is walking a Fox hard.

As for the Lightning I don't think a 13sec truck is much to laugh at especially when it hangs right with the SRT10 Ram. If you think a SST is faster than a Lightning your crazy, that truck was joke and was a 15-16sec Truck stock. LOL

He wasn't sure if it was a KB lightning. It was a white one on the streets that we just happened to run into.

Not really, we went back and talked to the guy later on at the car wash. He was surprised to see it was turbocharged, not supercharged. He was a pretty cool guy, he even admitted to the other guys at the car wash he got yanked on by a Cobalt.

I have personally seen most of these races as a passenger, and I can vouch for the BS calls.

And for those that say the first GT driver was a bad driver, you are wrong. He's a better driver than the guy who owns the silver Cobra that pulled off on us. I have a 850 T5 Volvo on 6 pounds of boost, and the Cobalt pulls off after 2nd gear. It's quite embarrassing. But it's cool to see the look on peoples faces who are used to racing SC Cobalts getting pulled on by a stock looking TC Cobalt

Especially when I lean out the window and row past them :P
