I need to know if i can swing 275/40/17 DR's on a stock redline rim with no spacers? I have stance coilovers so i can raise them to the moon but i'm more worried about rubbing the coilover. My performance shop has them in stock and i already have a appointment with my tire guy for my other car so please tell me your thoughts on this ASAP.

Thanks in advance!

I dont think you need to go that wide unless you have crazy power, i have the BFG 225 45 17 and i have no wheelspin in 1st and 2nd gear.

i'd be afraid to go THAT wide... plus you'd probably hit the strut itself... BFG makes a drag radial. i've got a thread in drag racing called traction combos that has a bunch of stuff listed...

On the road i can spin them no problem at 40mph like my stock conti's but on a well prepped track i couldnt get them to spin in 1st and 2nd with still 21 psi in them. Thats why i said you dont ''need'' wider unless you have crazy power, seem your case with the EFR.

The last time I used them it was 95* out and about 25% throttle in 2nd it would shred them lol.. I dropped the pressure down to 15 psi also and you could hear them like wrinkle and flapping while spinning haha. They do work alright if you heat them up a bit though.
