1-2 Shift "thump"?

1-2 Shift "thump"?

Hey guys, just curious. When I do a hard 1-2 shift I hearing a loud thump. It makes me wonder whether or not to do it at all. What the heck is that?

Its your engine hitting the firewall from the stock flabby mounts.

Actually its the top motor mount bottoming out inside. Get a TQ damper or polyurethane mounts, it will drastically improve shift feel, help with power transfer and stop that nasty thump.

Ehh, its not that bad. I have full mounts, there is some vibration, but its not to the point of being annoying once they break in a bit. The performace you get from them is well worth it.

yeah...the vibes settle down, but the exhaust tone under heavy acceleration stays.....but I'm not complaining, just informing
