2.2 clutch and axle question

can you use the sxles from an ss to replace the crappy ones in the base models for more strength? or is there any vendors who make them for a 2.2

how about the clutch... anyone have a suggestion for a bolted 2.2?

I think I might be wrong though. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm

Go to Cobalt and search axle.

Nope. Better off getting the Driveshaft axles.

No they don't, but the SS axles are horrible as well.

Your only hope is to get the Driveshaft axles. www.ottperformance.com sells them for the 2.2.

As for a clutch, I would go with a Spec brand...not sure what stage since I don't know how much HP your goal is but I would suggest a Stage 2+, thats what I have along with a Spec flywheel.

is that the only axle options? 1 mm doesnt seem like it would give you much more protection against breakage
