I have a 06 2.2 stick and for the most part everything if fine. All the gears work fine but i have two problems. First i find that first is a little hard to get into sometimes. Is that normal?
second of all i noticed that in 3rd sometimes between around 1.5 and 3 the car starts to shake like theres not enough power or something in the transmission is not working or something. i find when it does happen its normal driving for the most times and a few tims WOT. any ideas whats going on?

sounds like your shifting a little early try shifting at a higher rpm but im no expert so wait for some smarter guys to chime in possibly but thats what it sounds like to me...and as far as it going in does it grind or is it just a little tough to go in?

 

When daily/casual driving what RPM's do you shift at from 1-2 and 2-3?

 

Its just a little tough to get in no grinding

 

First i usually shift at 3k and 2-3 normally 2.5-3k. but that drops me down to just under 2k in third
