2.4l Auto Tranny Problems

So for the last couple days every once in a while when I WOT from say 60mph i sometimes get this kinda "clutch slip feel" and then it re-engages and hauls
also note when i first punch it theres like an audible click that comes from the tranny

this only happends when in (I) GEAR in (D) it doesnt happen but then again traction control comes on for a split second when i gun it at 55-60mph so iam not sure if its just (I) GEAR ...

note that I do have the autotrans-interceptor installed however i always leave it on the lowest setting so i hardly can tell its even effecting anything .......

any ideas what it could be .....
or is it official that ive got a LEMON!!!!

MODS AS FOLLOWS 4 WHO DOESNT KNOW:
FULL BOLTONS
VECTORS TUNE ECM ONLY
AUTOTRANS INTERCEPTOR

You might want to get your line pressure feed checked out... Thats what I imagine from what goes on in my head by what you described. I've never really mashed down throttle... I always think about how much stress the engine is taking =/

EDIT: However, a high line pressure feed does not mean it's a bad thing. It will actually extend the transmission's life and improve performance. Line pressure feed is basically how hard the transmission shifts. Higher the pressure the stronger the snap. Now, if it is too low, it will do the total opposite.

if you can hear the kicdown click.. (when the tranny downshift's for more power) take it in.. but take out the trans interceptor first.. they may try and void tranny warrenty for a thing like that.

I don't understand why it would fail with the interceptor on the lowest setting. For my tunes I can jack up the Pressure and still no fail. I wonder if your trans is overheating when this happens, because then it will go into HOT MODE.

That's just a thought.

Other than that you could have blown a seal or something.

ya the interceptor its literally off i mean iam going to pull it off after work and see if that solves it but even so these trannies were designed for v6 applications ...iam throwing down at the crank no more then 200hp and thats wishful thinking so WTF in theory i should be able to romp like its nothing

True however i am pretty positive that the lowest setting on the interceptor is ....stock or similiar stock line pressure

any thoughts??

So then my suggestion would be get it to the dealership... You might want to take out the interceptor though... And if it was a seal, you more than likely notice. But until you bring it into the dealership, I would actually turn up the setting a little bit. Who knows, it might help it. Like I said, it's NOT bad for the tranny to snap hard. Even if it seems like it's going to snap your neck.

On the 2.4L tranny, you can really work it. That thing can leave you feeling like you are on a mechanical bull sometimes.

Hmm brought it in and the GM TECH MANAGER said its more then likely the drivetrain steering knuckle to the drivers side front wheel ... he said it sounds to flopsy and pingy to be a transmission prob. he said he will thoroughly check it out himself........

all i can do now is cross my fingers.....
