2009 SS/TC clutch pedal squeaking/loose

I just got a 2009 SS Sedan up here in Toronto and I noticed that the clutch pedal squeaks on top half of the pedal travel. Actually it sounds like a mix between a squeak and whistle. Also the pedal seems loose...I can move it side-to-side. Just want to make sure this is not out of the ordinary before taking to the dealer. Thanks in advance!

The squeak might be the spring itself, and my 2.2 used to be a little loose (side-to-side) and I never had problems. My 08 SS/TC on the other hand the pedal is sturdy as a rock and the pedal has next to no play side-to-side. If it's under warranty just have it looked at in case the spring is stretched, or something isn't tightened down quite right.

Thanks. I think I'll wait and see if it gets any worse than take it into dealer (got mine new so it's all under warranty). One more question while on this subject. Whenever I shift and miss the sweet spot, I hear a loud "knocking" noise when the clutch engages...is this normal? I know I know...I still need practice Thanks again!
