2nd gear synchro?

I think my 2nd gear is finally gone, and im well out of warrenty(78,000 miles, 06 2.4ss) How much would it be to replace a sychro and how hard would it be? From what I have read it looks like I won't be doing this by myself.
Thanks for any help.

600 plus parts where I live... trans out of the car...about 1200 if we had to re and re and found more than the 2nd gear synchro ring (the 2 nd gear and hub is generally shot as well) you need regardless, the collapsible spacer, nut and gasket as well ....good luck
