3.5 v6 into cobalt?
anything requiring engine swap on a cobalt is going to be impractical. sure it would be different but worth it? not a chance in hell.
and the 2.4 only has like 20 more crank horse. if you're looking for power just do what Casey (fix'd
) did. supercharge that bish.

its cheaper to build your motor to handle 400hp than it is to swap motors
if your going to go to all the work of a 3.5, may aswell go with a 3.9l and 6 speed from a g6 gxp. id say a 3.6 dohc would be fun, but i think that motor is wider than the engine bay. either way, its not simple. i think the fabbing and getting the motor mounted and such wouldnt be that hard, albiet a tight fit. the big problem runs in the electrical area. the way i would tackle it would be to run a stand alone ecu as well as run the stock pcm with enough inputs hooked up to keep the pcm communicating with the rest of the computers to keep the rest of the car functioning.
I don't know if they are built on the same platform or not but my mom has an 06 spec v sentra with a 2.5 and that physically is a massive ass 4 cylinder it looks like it has way more room in the engine bay than the cobalt does
