First post here looking for some info on the interchange of the 4t45e. I have been lurking for about a month searching the threads for my answer but I guess I'm not using the correct search criteria. I have a 08 with the 2.2. its got 150K on it and I'm dropping in a brand new crate motor. I am wanting to install a trans with low miles or reman unit. I have never had good luck dropping a new motor in front of an old auto. I know my final drive is 3.63. I got that off of my RPO code. I have read that if I don't match the 3.63 FDR, then the TCM will have issues. So I need to find a 3.63 FDR trans but does it matter what year or what motor its mated too? I have a chance to get a unit with only 32K on it but its a 2005. Are there changes that occurred after 2005 that would make this incompatible? I have googled my brains out looking for this but, all i can find is the final drive ratio issue.
