Hi guys Im new to this Forum I joined in hopes to get some info on the hydromatic trans, I have a FWD VW drag car and I am looking to go from a stick to an auto. From what researched I have already done the Hydramatic seems to be the way to go. I was wondering if you could tell me what trans code is to the auto and what model yr ect. they come in.
If any of you know of a reputable place to purchase a built auto or anyone selling a used one, or a case (can be damaged I need one for mark up)

im not positive, but it seems to me that for racinng applications, the 4T60e is a very popular choice over the 4T45e....i would get one of those and then just bring it to a shop to build it up....halfcent is our local auto trans expert, as he's built his to support a reliable 400HP

 

I hear good things about the 4t65e

Wow thats alot of models now im sure the ratios are differnt in all of those? anyone have a link with all the ratios
