Lars' car will be back in i think less than two weeks with a 6 speed installed. he broke a stage 2 trans so this was the next step up! His car and Kennys TVS lsj are going to be two of the most badass cars on this site currently

stuffing 6 gears in the same case means thinner gears, certainly thats what quaife did/does, and I decided for my self not worth going thinner...5 speeds is enough I would lose count otherwise. jk

The buick turbo has a 6 speed but Im not sure what its based on. There are probably some fitment issues such as mounts , shift mechanism and such.

ya just ask the evo guys. More gears in the same amount of space = less tranny fluid + thinner gears = runs hotter = overheats and blows up.

Been driving a 6 speed for a year now and it's not all it's cracked up to be, just more shifting to do. One day I plan on swapping to a shep built 5 speed with a taller final drive.

SUPER DUPER OLD NEWS! Been out and selling for about 4+ years or so.

You really ought to troll our site more... :P

Dezod Motorsports. 6 Speed Conversion

6 gears means shorter gears and less stress on each gear during hard pushing. This was developed and used on GM's 400+whp TA car.

Right and GM is using a brand new 6 speed in the new Buick Verano not the modified Saab one.

I'm pretty sure most are very aware of the Quaife kit. So yes this is indeed very old news, but is also not what Mongorat is refering to none the less.

Someone needs to inform the fella at Quaife whom said this was developed for that program. That was what I was told years ago. Although, maybe it was developed for the program and not used for one reason or another and this is why they are sitting on that inventory.
