6-Speed on an LS

Any 6-speed that could fit onto an LS with a little work?

I was wondering if anyone has even done it before, or if it would be too much trouble.

The real question is WHY. Your car will still be slow unless you are boosted.

Not so much for speed, I'd rather have close ratios for autocross. The car itself isn't going to become boosted or supercharged.

Well... make the car faster and you won't need to shift as often while autocrossing. I say this only because making the car faster is cheaper than converting to a 6-speed.

Quaife had designs for a six speed, but it is only for the F35 (SS transmission). It is also quite pricey.

GM F35 (MU3) 6-SPEED SYNCHRO

Convert your 5-speed to a close ratio 6-speed!

Our synchromesh 6-Speed Conversion kit features semi-helical, high strength gears and is designed to use the original linkage and mechanisms. The stock, or other factory F35 ring and pinion is retained. Includes: mainshaft, all main and counter gears, new end cover, and required linkage parts.

Chevrolet Cobalt SS supercharged

Or you could SC for half the price of this and make well over 200 whp and surely be quicker while autocrossing. See what we're getting at OP?
