Aftermarket flywheel for GM LSJ upgraded clutch

Has anyone used an aftermarket lightweight flywheel for the gm upgraded clutch yet?

I was asking the same thing when I did mine, I was told keep it stock for dragging.

the turbo im getting is gonna be spooling alot quicker and i want a lightweight flywheel for less drag

You wanna really keep the heavier stock flywheel if you are dragging as you want the weight, otherwise light weight fly wheel for the track. I have heard it depending upon how much power you are pushing.

im turbo now, think i still need the weight for drag racing when i want to spool quicker?

im in the same predicament im currently sitting on a KY stage 3 clutch and dnt know if i should get a OEM Or light aftermarket one Iv searched and searched but haven't really found an answer

I was in almost the same boat, but with the KY stage 1. I chose the lightweight because from people I know with it they seem to have no problems and quicker revs

i run the gmpp clutch with a fidenza flywheel. it works ok, i dont think it made that much of a difference. the lighter flywheel does cause a little bit of a rough idle.
