Anyone running Royal Purple Synchromax?

In there manual tranny's?

Synchromax is recommended for manual transmissions that specify an automatic transmission fluid or motor oil. It is also ideal for 4x4 transfer cases and / or 2-cycle and 4-cycle motorcycle gear boxes.

Synchromax is formulated with Royal Purple's synthetic, proprietary Synerlec additive technology, which offers improved shift quality over a wide temperature range and reduced gear noise.

Synchromax is fully compatible with all types of friction materials and offers excellent corrosion and oxidation protection without affecting the soft metals commonly found in manual transmission synchronizers.

Try Royal Purple today and Feel the Difference!

I think you just want to buy a bottle and sit on it. J/K. I thought about switching to it but its expensive.

Would one use this instead of tranny fluid or as an additive.

Instead of tranny fluid. My Ion manual states the manual tranny only needs 1.8 quarts to be filled so it's not bad. I really want to try it.

I heard it is really good stuff. Just wasn't sure if you use it instead or as an additive.

I think when I change my tranny fluid I might give this a shot.

I have had it in mine for going on a year. Very nice stuff if you live somewhere with very cold winter temperatures.

Yes I have it it mine sold and installed by the dealer. It has made it a much smoother shifting trans when cold and REALLY slick when the fluid warms up to operating temp.

Tell your dealer to find a new line of work because he knows nothing of the one he is in.

So those that run it, did you straight swap out the old for the syncromax?

Where can you pick this stuff up?

i have it in the tranny of my 81 BMW 320i (stock tranny, 177,000 miles, and as near as i can tell, the oil in it was at LEAST ten years old when i changed it).

it really helps it shift when it is cold out, and it runs a lot quieter and cooler. it's good stuff, but i've heard horror stories of people using non-atf in these cars...

on the redline its right behind the i guess engine cradle on the drivers side...take off the wheel and you need a 8mm L wrench put a little cheater bar on it and give it hell it will feel like you broke something but relax...the fill hole is the top one fill it til it leaks out

I'm running the Royal Purple 75W-90 Max Gear Oil as well. It's real nice and the only comparable tranny fluid to the Saturn Manual Transmission fluid our cars run. It's actually a lot better than it too!

Read and Heed, the Syncromax is not the same stuff and does not meet the standards our cars require!

I don't understand, in terms of facts not opinions, how this is any better than regularly maintained oem recommended fluid. I must b stoopid?

You answered my questions and I didn't even have to ask.
