Anyone working on shift linkage issue?

Is there any company actively working on a fix for the shift linkage to keep from losing 2-4-R? Possibly a rod conversion?

don't need to reinvent the wheel; adjust it per OEM specs and it will be fine

I haven't heard this issue before, only from people not installing a short shifter properly.

So far from reality, the cobalt ss must be your first hi-performance car.

My cables broke twice on my new 2008 SS\TC. I lost 2,4 and rev. They kept getting stretched and then finally broke. There's is a solution to every problem, we just need to do something about it instead of talking about it.

Cable shifters are garbage. I had them on my 1990 and 1991 ford SHO tuarus. They kept getting stretched or broken and are terrible from a drivablitiy stand point. Well a company came out with a rod shifter conversion for my SHO and ford bought the company and installed these rod shifters in all the 1992-1995 SHO's before they went to a V8 and all automatics. The car drove soooo much better, smoothly, shifts got quicker with far less effort, durable as heck.

We do need one for this car the SS\SC and TC.

Cables are so "old school" and do not belong on something making over 200 hp.
