This is getting crazy. Now something under my car sounds like it's rattling and something else sounds like it's making popcorn, neither of which I can locate. What a mess. Calling the dealer now to hopefully get it down there on Wednesday.

blew your cat is my guess, you might be running super rich

should have mentioned this issue popped up that very same day as the exhaust install. the dealer is going to murder you with their service bill and likely won't be able to fix your issue. ive found that most dealers will not even touch aftermarket components.

now that you've mentioned the exhaust issue, thats where my money is. odd that this would effect your transmission though..

This WOULD effect my transmission issue? I'm guessing because it's something from the CEL making everything run off. I re-did the wires and everything, and still nothing. It's a BRAND NEW cat. lol. I watched him install it. I'm really not worried about the bill because they'll give me the best price they can (my family knows the owners and we've gone to them since they opened) and if REALLY necessary, I still have the stock header and down-pipe that I am taking down with me, so that if there's an issue with that system, I can always just have them throw the stock system back on. Do you really think that's the issue?

the way you described the rattling sounds like a blown cat, even being brand new it could still blow out and the peices would bounce around

Just wait till you get a full trans and engine tune to fix the problems then. Minus the rattling.

Welp, down at the dealer now. We shall see..

** Resolved **

CEL:

So, I took it down there and said what was happening. They put in on their machine, and did validate that it threw an entire books-worth of codes from the few days sans cat. The car apparently needed professionally cleared and not just flashed or by doing a hard reset. After that, it runs great. My gas mileage is back up to normal, idle isn't high anymore, and the car doesn't "hold" the gears anymore.

AFR:

The reason the AFR wasn't working was because it was spliced in between the wires going to the ECU. It wasn't reading right, and thus not making the AFR work. It's only barely light up when I was at WOT. After that it'd stop. So, that was that.

Tranny:

Turns out it was not my wiring that was causing the shifting issue. It was the fuse for the transmission. I tried to check it, but it's one of those ones that has 4 in 1 and you can't really check it. I probably blew one of them out when I was running my Shift Plus. Regardless, that solved the tranny issue.

Apparently I "had no power going to my 02 heater and purge". WTF? lol. The emission fuse was blown too. That's probably why I'd flash it and the CEL would go out, but then come back on.

Regardless, it's fixed. I appreciate the help that you guys suggested, and I hope this can help anyone else with a similar issue.

It sure is. Honestly, from how hard it was shifting, I was worried they were gonna have to rip it apart. Coming out of there for 70 bucks is a steal. I was expecting FAR more..
