Auto Tranny Build

What kind of things can you do to an automatic tranny to build up its tolerance ? Better Torque converter ? I know my tranny can take (about) 325tq max rating. Just wanting to learn a bit about these things.

A tranny cooler would be a good idea.

yeah i mean no1 has did a s/c swap..but look at the hahn turbo kit...the 2.4 guys turboin havent done any work. i would talk to celicacobalt about his turbo auto. i think he only has a tranny cooler..that is going to help out a lot. even with tuning the car.. u can tune agressive but if ur going to get on it..it will slip and do damage a t. cooler will help a lot

what are you talking about? theres like 3 2.4's with a s/c and even atleast 1 2.2 with a s/c
to build the tranny, all you really need are a tranny cooler and a tranny tune, but if your going over 300hp, then your going to want to heat treat the axles, probably get a LSD while your doing this, and upgrade your clutch packs. thats really it for 400hp....if you still want more, whichi doubt, then id go for a tranny swap to the 4t60 or the 4t65

Yes my tranny is doing great since april with just a permacool tranny cooler and hahns tranny tune. As far as building an auto tranny I would say halfcent is the only one i know who has done this.

they are. u can easily push 8psi like everyone else is running. just a tranny cooler will do the job. it brings temps down real nice. plus once u tune agressive its needed. my tranny tune is nothing nice agressive smooth shifting. once that is down and u go s/c that thing is gonna haul some ass. if u have ne other questions. pm me

all they need is a tranny cooler and a reflash. theyre rated 325tq from the factory, so they'll hold up mechanically.
