Question Automatic 2.0

I know there was a guy on here who made his turbo 2.0 into an automatic...i tried searching multiple different things, and nothing came up. I do know he used the transmission from an hhr. What my question is, is it the 2.4 transmission or the 2.2?...Any useful info is appreciated...

Someone had an auto trans installed in a 2.0L cobalt but never had it working properly.

I would be careful before purchasing someone else's problem.

If that was the only problem I am sure the trans would still be installed in the original car.

I am not saying, I am just saying...

Also the 2.2 and 2.4 did have different transmissions on:

LS/LT 2.2 Hydramatic 4T40E automatic transmission have 3.63:1 final drive ratio (38/34 tooth chain drive, 3.05 gearing)
SS 2.4 Hydramatic 4T45E automatic transmission have 3.91:1 final drive ratio (38/34 tooth chain drive, 3.29 gearing)

Now the 2.2 and 2.4 did have the same manual transmisssion which was the Getrag F23

So please guys stop being so mean to people when you dont even know what you are talking about yourself

So this is my post above for you too rockstar! i dont know why you always have to rag on people the reason CSS.net was started was to help people and bring together a group of people that like a car not to make fun of people if they ask a question even if it is a question you think is dumb.

Sorry for my rant OP i am just getting sick of the way this site has seem just gone down hill with people helping and just has turned into people hating

they found out when they were taking the trans out because they though the whole harness needed to be redone and the kid just wanted his car back after months of it sitting.. turned out the harness was fine just the map sensor or something was grounding out

i'm not saying.. i'm just saying..

You have been around this forum as long as I have. You know better then that! lol

So just like when you try to sell your procharger kit. You know how to fix the problem that was holding you up. But what about the other problems that you did not hit yet?

lol unfortunately for my procharger there are no other problems lol .. i've found out all the issues / limitations lol just the damn bracket is a PITA lol

the harness was tested/ double/ triple checked

the auto tranny setup worked great.. there are vidz on youtube of them doing 14 psi pulls with it.. it would just close the throttle after 1 pull and would only let them hit 5psi or something till they shut the car off. idk all the specifics i'm just going on what i remember of what paul told me last time i was at his place lol
