Sorry to hear about your axle. You've got cams, ported head, etc-and still only trapping 106? I agree with Pat, almost 90mph in the eighth is good, but you should be trapping higher in the big end. PM me a copy of your timeslip with all of your mods, and I'll be happy to put you on the 1/4 mile list. BTW, what elevation are you at?

Yeah, you should most likely look at the other lane of that time slip. I personally know the cars that you raced... and have 'your' timeslip...

 

ok first of all wow... to clear this **** up that was my buddy evan . yea hes dumb. my best time was a 14.2. I will run your 13.6 sec srt on the street for sure. I just ordered the driveshaft shops stage 2 axles because chevy decided to not warrantee the axle. they wanted to charge me $8xx for it plus tax so I just went ahead and ordered the stage 2 axles. No i do not have a port and polished head or cams. I am still waiting on them to get finished at the shop I am gettin them from. Sorry about all the bullshit that was coming from my name on here. but the best i ran was a 14.2 at 100.xx I ran 3 times. all three times again a srt-4. won 1 lost 2. did trap higher than 1 i lost cause i started reelin him in at the end. But yea if u want to run that srt let me know and we will set something up. I will be on 16s with slicks just fyi since i have the axles now!

Which axle are you breaking all the time? It says a lot whether its the driver or passenger axle or both. From a driving standpoint, the shorter axle breaks under different conditions than the longer one - which can in turn, relate to how hard you launch the car off the line. Sometimes dropping 200rpms on launch will save those axles.

 

It is the driver side axle that broke. I ordered the Stage 2 axles from Intense which are made by the driveshaft shop. The dealer wanted 800 for the driver axle plus tax. i just decided to spend an extra 70 bucks and have the stage 2 axles overnighted. and yes it was my friend he has all my slips in his car cause my car had to be towed to the dealer. I forgot all of my slips in his van and he still has them.. but that ok I really dont care about what you people think cause you all think you know everything. But whatever. I have a buddy with a srt-4 and I know how fast it is so why would I even bother lying about what time I ran. Not worth lying especially when the ****** srt-4 club was at the track! so if anyone wants to sack up and race let me know I have plenty of cars that would love to run some faster srt-4's. My buddy who has one is always up to race. So let me know. Ill start another thread in the IL section!
