Brake Fluid

I recently purchased a set of Power Slot slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads for all four corners on my 09 Cobalt SS. Now I'm looking to upgrade my brake fluid, any suggestions on which fluid to use? Also, has anyone had problems with the rear calibers on their SS? At 18,000 miles the dealership had to replace the calibers, rotors and pads, 40,000 miles later I'm experiencing the same problem. The tech informed me its a design flaw with the caliber (Screw type piston design) that causes the inner pads to wear out. Anyone know of an upgraded caliber for the vehicle?

Those calibers truely are a pain.... ESPECIALLY the tuned a fully bolted ones. Man they can give you a tough run!

Something like a simple synthetic dot3/dot4 is all you will ever need.. nothing fancy. Unless you frequent a track like VIR or Lime Rock on a regular basis, chances are pretty high that you will never reach the boiling point of the fluid.

Just make sure to service your brakes and you will be fine. And every car gm especially the inner pad wears quicker than the outter
