Clicking while driving

Sounds like my car is clicking while heading down the road, and when I come to a stop sometimes, I can feel a bang in the shifter. I thought it was the clutch, but it still grabs fine and made it home 23 miles from work. Cost me a day of pizza delivery though so I'm irked.

My best guess is CV half shaft. I replaced one with a similar sound last year. That time happened while goofing off. Today it was just passing a car. Similar in sound to a bicycle with a baseball card in the wheel. I figure its somewhat driveable, but I don't like the sound at all. I almost had it towed, but decided to drive it to pinpoint the noise (which seems to be coming from the front right wheel (which is the one I haven't replaced yet).

Any guesses?

hmm i dunno does the sound get worse/quieter or go away when ya hit the brakes? my honda clicked in the front end and it turned out to be a broken caliper bolt. maybe an axle if it gets louder when you turn... could be cv's? other than that dunno..

I hear it after bout 10mph. Its loud at 25mph, which is the same as my last axle issue. I don't notice it any more or less after turning. I'm going to pull the wheels tomorrow and check for play in the cv joint.

Does it do it more when you are in a turn taking off. Usually a cv joint will make the most noise turning and taking off. Thats my experience with the cv anyway. I have had to replace many of them over the years. Usually after you get going, you cant hear them much.

I hear mine most when I get up to speed. Possibly could be a wheel bearing, but sounds more like the axle. I can't pinpoint the side or I'd just pull the wheel off and check for play.
