Clutch Engagement Issue

Hey everyone,

I've racked my brain on this one and hope someone can help out. I have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC and had no issues with my clutch engaging over winter. When Spring came I keep having this issue where the clutch pedal even when fully pressed doesn't allow me to shift into gear. I do have a short shifter I don't know if its maybe a linkage issue? No loss of brake fluid, so I don't think its master or slave cylinder. I've also purged the lines with fresh brake fluid for the hydraulic clutch and bled for air twice. No change still. If I "pop" the clutch pedal I'll get back full pedal and can shift. I get tired of "popping" my clutch pedal to get into gear especially if I'm hammering it. Any ideas anyone?

Are you essentially "locked out" of every gear?

What do you mean by pop the pedal? Push it to the floor and side step it? If that's the case it sounds like the seals are weak in the master cylinder

Are you not able to get into gear? Or does the clutch pedal not have pressure? If the pedal is good adjust the shifter cables.

When I say pop the clutch pedal, I mean I depress it partially and side step it. This gives me full pedal again and I can freely shift gears. This issue happens in any gear. The clutch pedal has pressure at about 1/4 of it depressed. If I do the popping, I'll get immediate full clutch pedal. If the seals are weak any to fix this or does the master just need replaced at that point? Thanks everybody.
