Clutch issue i think...help?

This ever happen to anyone?

U press the clutch, but the shifter wont move at all.
When you tryto force it in, and you hear a faint grinding noise.

Once you get it rolling, often times you can smoothly row thru the gears just fine. Other times, it will require a gentle shove.

Rolling stops creates a small shudder in the car.

With car off, gears move smoothly and freely.

Im stumped, only thing i can think of for the shudder is maybe a warped flywheel? Im seriously out of ideas, anyone put in thier 2 cents please?

Little history on it. Clutch has had all sorts of power levels thrown at it and after 80k miles, its still the stock one. So chances are the clutch is on its last leg. It started to slip little by little. But im still fresh out of ideas.

your clutch isnt fully releasing, thats why it grinds and shudders at a stop. im going to guess your release bearing (aka the slave cyl) is leaking and needs to be replaced. if you see brake fluid on the bottom of the bellhousing, thats what needs to happen.

Would that explain the Clutch pedal feel.
At times the pedal is soft and smooth. After driving it for soem time or giving it a wot run or 2 the pedal gets super stiff.

This would cause it as well?

Pressure plate is going. Slave cylinder is inside the bell housing so when you have clutch changed have everything done I'm surprised ya got 80k out of it my uncle says the average mileage on the ss clutch he has replaced was 65k - 70k. Good luck

Try double clutching. Sometimes for whatever reason the dog teeth don't line up right. For example, you come to a complete stop and have the clutch pushed in, and the shifter won't move into first. DON"T force it in. Leave the shifter in neutral and let the clutch out and push it back in, you will now be able to shift into first. Another trick I tried was to move the shifter into second and then put it in first. Whatever you do don't force the shifter into any gears.

You should not be doing any rolling stops. First of all rolling stops can be dangerous, second lugging the engine is bad, third there is a risk of stalling. When you are doing a rolling stop, when you get back on the gas the car will shudder everytime because of gear lash. There is a lot of play in first gear and to a lesser degree in second gear.
