clutch messes up

sometimes if i stomp on it in 1st gear and power shift to 2nd the clutch wont grab at all. it doesnt slip any other time n it doesnt do it all the time when i powershift either, just every now-n-then. almost like the pressure plate isnt doing its job sometimes idk. anyone else have this problem? i might end up buying n aftermarket clutch sometime this year just to get rid of the problem all together. anyone have any ideas?

if you dont have traction at the top of first gear and slam 2nd, the clutch will slip. the pressure plate cant hold up to that. try catching complete traction before hitting second gear. this may require you to feather the throttle a little

I've heard the LSJ clutches are notorious for this.

The 1st to 2nd ratio gap is quite large, so often the clutch will slip because it can't grab due to the difference in RPM on a hard 1-2 shift or 1-2 powershift.

so getting a new clutch will stop this from happening correct? my dad drove it the other day n it did it to him n he thought he broke it n told me i need a new clutch. it has done it to me a couple times before and a friend of mine has had his do it for the past year n his clutch is still holdin up just fine other then doin this. so i figure get a new clutch by the end of this year and just solve the problem.

A high performance clutch with higher torque holding capacity should definitely solve the issue.

Just get the GMP clutch, its cheaper.

Also, the clutch could be shot...or just glazed...drive it around for a couple hundred miles normally, just calm daily driven, no WOT shifting or anything and it should bring it back if it is just glazed.

Isn't the GMP LSJ clutch just the LNF clutch I have for sale?
