Clutch position sensor help

Ok guys, Im having issues with my clutch position sensor/switch whatever, pretty sure its at the end of its life. I have no issues with cruise control, so im pretty sure its not the top sensor. Throwing code P0808 I cant seem to find the switch on the pedal assembly. Anybody got any info on location of it, and I cant seem to find a part number to get a replacement, I say clutch position sensor or switch at my local auto parts store and they have no idea what im talking about. This is getting annoying, When the car does start its fine no hesitation at all runs great. When it dont, radio comes on, everything electronic, even hear the fuel pump kick on but you turn the key and nothing. any info and help would be greatly appreciated. And yes ive used the search feature and havent been able to find the exact info I need.

Look at the clutch pedal, and follow it up a bit. There's a part that comes off it just above the pedal that pushes a white switch in.

You might want to ask for a clutch starter interlock switch - quick google comes up with 15839052 as a part number but you may want to confirm that....

Quick question... is all you do is unplug the sensor and plug a new one in? Is it that simple... or do I need a new wiring harness or something?

Are the clutch position sensor and the starter saftey switch 2 different parts or both in 1? I have a code reading for clutch position sensor and when i look it up on rockauto its labeled clutch position sensor/starter saftey switch. Also i have no problems with the car starting with clutch engaged/not starting when not engaged but cruise control no longer works since code came on. Alldata shows them as 2 different parts right next to each other(up top against firewall behind steering column) but my car has one up top and one down towards bottom of pedal thats easily accessible like tje picture gelladuga69 posted. Someone help please!!!

They are two separate switches. In your case, it is the one that is up top. You can reset the code by disconnecting your battery for a few minutes. If you are resting your foot on the clutch, or riding the clutch too much while driving, you'll cause that code to set. If you are not doing these things, then the switch either needs to be replaced or readjusted. There is a plastic nut on the switch that allows you to adjust it's position.

The GM part number for the switch is 22734989.
