about 2 months ago, i had my stock clutch and flywheel replaced at a local shop. they told me at the time that an act clutch and a spec flywheel would be compatible. but ive been reading up on it in and a couple guys on here said that that combination wouldnt work. and now the clutch is starting to slip all over again. i broke the clutch in for about 550 miles, so i dont think that is the problem. and the shop replaced master cylinder. id appreciate any comments or ideas on what the problem could be.

 

did they replace the slave cylinder?

 

no they didnt. ive actually been thinking of that. if that were the problem, what would the range of the price be to replace the slave cylinder??

 

Yeah, it's more likely than not the slave leaking onto the clutch.

Fix it quick or it will destroy your new friction disk (if it hasn't already).

Labour is the same the csc is about 60 bucks from CED

 

You need to remove the trans again to replace the slave cylinder, so figure on it being really close to the same price as when you got the clutch replaced.....
