Clutch Replacement

Hey guys

just had a couple questions about replacing the clutch on an 07 LSJ.

I'm trying to figure out how exactly the tranny is supposed to detach from the engine. I have disconnected all of the bolts that hold it as far as I know and I also am having some difficulty getting the sub frame out. Is there some hidden bolt on the tranny and/or subframe that holds them in? Hoping to get some advice.

I've done a ton of research on here and followed everything as far as I know. Only thing I couldn't find that would be extremely helpful is pictures with one of the guides.

Did you unhook the two lower mounts? Steering rack? Roll bar?

Are you following a procedure or just giving it a go? I've personally not removed JUST the transmission but I do know there are very detailed instructions in the LSJ build book that might help you find something that got overlooked. https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=7F254...212944&o=OneUp

The steering rack was the issue on the sub frame. As far as the tranny itself, apparently there was a hidden bolt we couldn't find. We got it though! Thanks

Also, that book would have helped out a ton. We tried using the haynes manual and it wasn't nearly as in depth as that one.

Ok so I've been driving it around after the new clutch installed and noticed the rpms don't lower at all when I press the clutch in or put it into neutral. Cruise controll still works and it didn't get the P0833 code. Any ideas what else may cause that?

it's a gmpp clutch and a new flywheel if that makes any difference.

thanks!

This^ does it shift fine? What kind of rpm are you seeing when you push the clutch In and hold it?

It tends to hover around the rpms it was at when I put it into neutral not really a specific area. It will go down almost instantly when I come to a stop though. I did take the supercharger off just to get a little more room when working from the top. As for the lines, they all looked good when we were putting everything back in.

it does the same thing if I set it into neutral or hold the clutch in. Just hovers around the rpm it was at when I started. It shifts like it should. Sometimes a little stiff but nothing it never did before.

if the rpm is only staying up while your coasting with the clutch in or in neutral thats 100% normal. the ecm if programmed to do that as it helps smooth the shifts out as it reduces drivetrain shock.

Hmm. It's only started doing it after the new clutch though. I wouldn't think it would change that.

Just got an engine light today. Could one or all of these be the cause for that?
