oh i absolutely agree with you 100%!!!!

that's why on a saleen focus they come with a setup for for nitrous, but they tell you that your warranty is voided if you hook up the bottle....

nitrous does 1 thing: it destroys

it doesn't care if it's destroying your times, or destroying your motor... it's just doing its job.

even setup correctly nitrous will wear out an engine more than any other power adder (if all of them are setup correctly)

as far as the f&f goes.. why would you even mention that movie and nitrous? lol they have scenes where it takes 4-5 minutes to do one race... you know what would happen to an engine running it wot spraying nitrous for 4-5 minutes? it would melt an image of jesus on the hood and firewall

That's why it was the most stupidest cars ever to have rolled off Saleens Floor, stock car with a body kit and nitrous system and a suspension setup, whoopie. What they also failed to tell you is after about 10 passes down the track or on the street with the bottle you might as well get a new motor. Although the nitrous system is installed correctly the motor sucks *****...

Quoted from Saleens website "Under optimal driver, driving and track conditions, you can expect the following 1/4-mile performance from the N2O Focus: 1/4-time = 14.0 sec"

whoopie... a bottle you have to fill often to achieve a flat 14 on 250hp... yuck. Without spray it's a 16 second car for $26,000 it's a waste of money.

We are talking about a slow ass n/a Focus that starts life at like 140hp. Not a supercharged 200hp car that has the motor built for stress. Untill you ride in an LS that makes an extra 130whp from extra cold cool air in the engine, you have no clue what you're missing.

StreetDreamz, how do you have the NOS triggered? WOT, button, or both?

i have a feeling that your clutch slippage is due to your driving habits.. GM wouldnt put a clutch in a car, plan stage upgrade kits, and neither of the two that are available are including a new clutch. im sure GM spent a lot of time figuring this out, and i doubt they'd let such a major problem be an oversight.

yeah.. just like the quality headlights they put in every cobalt and recalled them all early last year for replacement? i mean... i can see why the headlights were overlooked, it's not like anyone ever uses them, or it would be a safety issue

Both stages trigger at WOT, but both are run off independant switches. I switch on the primary stage (Wet 75 shot) and then from there I can switch on the secondary (Dry 100 shot) if neccessary. The dry stage can't activate until I have the wet stage triggered and already injecting the fuel. So serious things don't happen. I only added the 100 dry shot after I saw that even with the smallest fuel jet on the primary shot my a/f ratio was WAY rich on my AEM gauge. Even so it still stays at around 12:1.

Yea I think most people's clutches are slipping from abuse during DD. I have almost 23k on my car and about 30-40 1/4 mile passes and my clutch is fine all i have is drop in filter and 3" exhaust. Soon to have Re-It-Up stage 1 so I will go back to the track and see how the clutch is doing after that lol.

I've never had a clutch problem like this in my 8 years of driving stick on 4 different cars. I ran a supercharger at 7psi with nitrous and every bolt on a Cavalier and the stock clutch held for 3 years. I've never been to the track with my SS, I do not ride the clutch and I do not dump the clutch EVER!

Then you either didn't have a quad four Cavalier or it was automatic because every Cavalier I have ever had serious power through has done both of these: The output shaft in the transmission begins to warp and you start to lose 2nd and 3rd and at the same time this is happening usually the clutch is on it's way out and it's a race between to two parts to see who will go first. The clutch usually wins.

One guy was turbo on that engine running 12psi for over a year and finally blow the engine when he jacked up the boost to 18 for the track. Don't get me wrong I love my SS and have faith in GM, but something is up with the clutch on these cars. Maybe a pressure plate plate issue who knows. I just want to see how well the Stage 2+ SPEC clutch holds up for people before I buy it.

Well I just shattered my stock pressure plate into a million pieces after just 4800 miles. I am going with the SPEC Stage Three +.

SPEC is a good name, have no fear.

how in god's name did you shatter a pressure plate?...your clutch should've burnt up or broke into peices before your pressure plate

but then again... the pressure plate is what is causing my problems, you need to file a complaint with:

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

even though you are running that crazy amount of juice through it, please file a complaint... we need to get everyone to file a complaint that has any issues, so they can investigate it, to see if there is a defect in the pressure plates they are using. There's something wrong with them, and with enough complaints they should be able to track the problems down and see if they are coming form a specific batch of clutch/pressure plates or what is going on

Hey there, why don't you lay off the guy. Maybe your jealous maybe not but it's not your place to argue here about what someone wants or doesn't want to do.
