CM FX 400 6 puck

I dropped my car off at Jeff's Auto this morning around 8 a.m. for a clutch change. By 3:30 p.m. the car was ready. I took the car for a test spin and all I have to say is WOW! My clutch has gone from a spongey slippery mess to a whole pressure plate full of stickey goodness. There's a little more noise in the cabin and it's going to take some getting used to but I can't seem to get the grin off my face. A big thanks to Dan for selling me his clutch. I had some doubts but they are all alleviated. Anyone in the South Eastern region should definitely consider Jeff's to have their clutch put. Absolute professionals and they only charged $600 to put the clutch in. Anyhow what ever issues may have been with the FX clutches should be gone. Happy Modding.

Goes into all gears at all RPM's no problem. ( I havent' tapped out 4th yet but I'm assume since 1-2 and 2-3 are a go then the rest would be too.)

$600 is nice compared to the $1100 the stealership wanted.

I hope that thing gets fixed soon. I have a stealership to go harrass tomorrow. I'll post up some pics of my stock clutch and pressure plate. The mechanic told me I just was making too much power for the clutch, it looks fine.

Just don't take it to a stealership. If anything goes wrong with this clutch this is where I'll post.

On a side note, you could definitaly see where the clutch had been screwed down to something prior to me opening the box. I thought it was odd and so did the mechanic but the clutch works as far as I can tell.

Yeah I know. I think CM was doing some last minute ass covering with that particular clutch. lol It was most definitely unopened when I got it. Unless you just pissed them off that much Dan.

Has anyone else who put an aftermarket clutch on their car experienced a noticeable increase in engine noise from 1500-2000 rpms in first and second only? I noticed this when I put my Ingalls on so I didn't think too much of it, but since putting the new clutch in it's gotten worse, and the new clutch kinda sticks everyone once in a while when I just get the car moving. Are new clutches generally noisier? Someone smart let me know what they think.

i think once you go above stage 3 to the puck type clutches you get whatthey call clutch chatter, it cant be helped on a high performance clutch if you had a light weight flywheel it would prob be louder

Okay thanks. I think the general rule is, as I'm finding out, the more performance oriented you get the louder you get. This is my first car I've really modded so I'm learning as I go on this one.
