what is everyones opinions on a clutch with flywheel. also on new axles too....
I drive like an ******* sometimes and dont want to be left on the side of the road.... or the middle of the highway... i would rather be safe than sorry and get it now before i get a burnt up clutch and hae to wait for a new one to be shipped.

I would suggest that you will get a warning before the clutch goes. Typically they will not fail catastrophically, but instead they will begin to slip and get progressively worse. maybe you are not being as abusive with the car as you think. I don't know what you have or how you drive it. If you insist, there are a number of clutches available for our cars, and both ClutchMasters and Fidanza sell an aluminum flywheel for our cars. You will hear both positive and negative about both the Spec and ClutchMasters setups, but the bottom line is that they both will work, if installed correctly. Personally I have the CM FX300 with their aluminum flywheel and am very happy with it. But then I also have GM stage 2 upgrade, a CAI, 75 hp of NOS and so on.

 

I heard the spec 2+ or 3+ are the best performing clutches for our cars. As for axles isnt intense the only ones selling them right now?

 

If you wheelhop the **** out of your car buy axles. Otherwise you will PROBABLY be ok. I know someone on here broke axles on stock power launching at the track.

 

Ya they said wheel hoppin shreds the axles. What mods do you have chipmonk?

 

airbox mod so far. But i want to be ready for when it happens. Im probably going to buy the parts soon (in case i dont have the money when it does go out)(clutch only) then put stage 2 then header+ DP + exhaust. Maybe tuner software and smaller pulley after I have the other stuff since i have a warranty.

I will also do mounts right after the stage 2 and.... i dunno what else i wanted to do. its 220 am and im effin out of it right now haha
