Difficult shifting when cold

Perhaps I should have posted here instead of the LNF forum.

I noticed this winter my transmission is difficult to shift after sitting out all night in 20 degree weather. Once it warms up after 5 mins or so it shifts fine, but it takes a lot of effort to move between gears and into neutral when everything is very cold like that.

This is the 4th winter I've had the car, and the first time I've noticed this. I'm wondering if changing the gear fluid would help...any thoughts?

Idk how this is the only time u notice this, but every manual car Iv ever driven in winter did that, the fluid is thicker in the cold, kinda like ur oil gets and ur car is hard to harder start when u don't plug it. It's totally normal, u don't have to change ur fluid. U shouldn't ever have to change ur fluid if u did they would make it easier than it is, like an auto, where u do have tO change it every so often.
