Depends on if leaning it out too much makes you have to retard the timing.

I heard that ZZP has been having problems with the flex piping on their down pipes lately...

how much timing? or is that a static number that you're trying to keep the same?

I'd like to get the AFR in line before going into too much detail with the spark, im pretty stock on the spark tables at this point, i have observed some knock like 1 degree or less sometimes when the temps get too in excess of 150, im running 16,17 right now

do yourself, and your car a favour, and avoid being WOT if your iat2s are above 145.
i know it kinda sucks when its hot out.
but its worth doing.

ouch dude.
id stop doing that if i were you lol.
your car will actually start reefing timing over 150IAT2 anyway, so its almost pointless even racing.

1.5 inch griffin h/e and single pass laminova beats the heat IMHO. But tuning is a huge part of the equation, and GM never cal'ed that blower and there are only a few folks who can come close to having GM expertise, but at the end of the day the GM (lotus) guys have more tools and better experience and more money to do it right... so sad too bad power costs money...rodimus you are a brave man with a great blower and too much heat

ive got the intercooler setup about as far as it can be taken, the tune is pretty dead on still a little bit of tinkering to do but its pretty on, even the folks at the dyno said that

one thing i am thinking about is the DEI cry02 setup, put the 3inch pipe section in just before the maf on my fujita intake, then do the intercooler bar, with the two of them in that should cool it down a bit

Rodimus I hear you but I also recall a lot of dialogue about your diffuclty plumbing and getting the air out...go back to first principles and check all the simple stuff before you slit your throat....(canadian greyhound joke in poor taste)

you're running into an issue with the pulley size itself. go back up a size. add more timing. yield better results.

How much did you pay for the blower Rodimus? I would listen too Area go up in pulley size too reduce the heat on the blower and add timing.

i wouldn't say listen to me on this issue, as i don't have the tvs and concrete evidence of the heat issue. i do however talk with people who have them and have run into an issue heat and reversion due to the motor, or better the intake manifold not being able to use the stacked air that is present. it has to do with volume rather than psi. this particular motor likes timing. a lot. like a fat kid and ice cream.

in short. the manifold itself is not large enough to handle it.
