Exedy hyper single grinding noise

Ok so my clutch is finally broke in and When i go WOT in first to second i hear this grinding noise it catches but it just sounds like its grinding anyone with a exedy hyper single have this problem. It only happens in first to second at WOT.

If i hold the clutch down for like a extra second or so it doesnt do it or atleast not as loud.

nope....
I did have my 'throw out' bearing go out which made the clutch not disengage completely. It grooved the flywheel a bit. Mine made a squeek sound though.

Brand new throw out bearing and master cylinder. Maybe i need to adjust the pedal because the clutch isnt engaging correctly?

it wouldn't engage unless it was all the way to the floor, it took him 2 minutes to readjust it.

there is no adjustment. any one who says there is well they are liars. How does that make you feel? no other way to say it, the whole deal is hydraulic for release...it sucks that folks get taken by repair places...darkmanx you may have the little stell strap on the side of the bell housing rubbing that happens and stops after a while i dont know why the strap is there... i hope thats it if its more then trouble and that would suck big time

Wow, I'm glad to learn that bit of news. I'll tell you that the clutch wouldn't engage unless it was on the floor, he rolled it back in, put it on the lift and when it came out I had travel with the pedal.

I just got mine installed 2 days ago.
i have an interesting "rubbing" noise when im engine braking.
im taking it back to the dealer monday to let them listen.

It may just be harmonic vibration from the new clutch + tranny mounts....

but ill let you know.

Probably a second gear synchro, your car already has issues with the 2-3 shift.

not really getting any chatter yet. but im going very easy on it so far.

its most noticable when cruising at highway speed in 5th, and letting off the throttle.
sounds almost like a dragging brake would.

its hard to describe.

Only in 5th gear?

I've noticed that some of these cars have gear noise when you unload the trans, and only in certain gears in certain cars. Could be what you are getting. Does it go away if you push in the clutch?

Probably normal then. What kind of trans fluid went in when they did the clutch?

the hyper single chatters. mines done it since day one.

whoever had thier pedal "adjusted"..you probably just had the system bleed. its like a brake system, all hydraulic. in fact, its part of the brake system so to speak, it all uses the same master cylinder. i didnt have any problems with mine and i've had it in for a year at least. its a strong clutch, sucks to drive in traffic jams and with the a/c on though
