exhaust system...

Hi, I went to Muffler Man today and asked about a exhaust system for my LT and i wanted something LOUD. The guy at the shop said i would need the whole exhaust system kit from headers to exhaust tip costing me $1300 CDN. Now i want to know if I could get a good after market muffler that would fix the LT that would make a LOUD deep sound without replacing everything. something like this maybe?...

Depends on how much you want to spend. I'm not a fan of the canister style at all. IMO you should get a mandrel bent custom catback with a Magnaflow muffler. It will be loud enough and it will probably only cost you $350.

Were can i get my hands on one of these? The shop i went to sucks becasue they don't order after market stuff like that, my only option with them was to spend $1300...ya ok.. lol

So i got to found something that would fix the LT and they could just slap it on.

EDIT***Hows this....would it work? or this maybe?

You know, if you want to be obnoxiously loud, just cut off your muffler. Cheap, yet effective.

right now all i have is a muffler like that welded on my stock exhaust system. all you have to do is remove the stock muffler and fit a pipe on it. All cat back is is literally from th4e cat back. It had nothing to do with the header.

if all you want is sound then just add an aftermarker muffler. no need t ochange header and, downpipe or any piping. its kinda crappy to just make it loud but if thats what you want as opposed to a fe hp gain and airflow increase just get a civic special( fart can).

no I believe its

engine - exhaust manifold - catalytic coverter - muffler, the muffler is close to the rear bumper, cut that out and ride around, see if you like it. If you dont, get a damn fart can and weld it in there.

while you're at it throw on some NOS stickers and a wing so all the guys on the block know that your car is the BUSINESS!

Ya i really dont care about the HP gain.. not into racing or anything like that. I want a nice loud low sound and i would get it but getting this muffler right?

Thanks
