F23 issue

So at times when i'm stoped at a full stop, car is out of gear, depress the clutch and put the car into first gear it'll go about half way and stop. If i take it out of first and put it in another gear go back to first it'll go in noproblem. If while its at the halfway point and i begin to release the clutch it'll go in once the clutch begins to grab.
Is first gear syncro'd? Maybe the syncro is going out?

Common? Really? Cause it'll happen 6, 7 times on my hour and a half drive home one day and then nothing the next.

Completely normal. There is no synchromesh for first gear so sometimes the teeth of the gears don't line up. If your on a hill and it does that you can literally roll back 1" and it will go into gear or let the clutch out and in again to move the gears again.

this is actually mentioned in the car manual. just go to second then back to first and it should go in.

Come on guys First gear is synchronised,(all gears are) and yes this is normal... The reason it wont go in is because synchros cant work if the shafts for the gears arent moving..... So when you release the clutch pedal slowly or allow the car to roll you allow the shafts to move and the synchros can work.
