F35 Fifth gear removal in 15 minutes

Heres how you remove 5th gear in 15 minutes. You need snap ring plyers and one of those cheap Harbour freight puller sets and a true value pin punch. After the cover is removed wipe excess trans fluid off everything . Knock the roll pin out of the shift lever and remove it and the slider. Next remove the snap ring . Now you will have to modify the claws on the puller with a grinder so they look like the pictures. Dont get them too hot or it will break. Pull the whole fitfh gear assembly together. Remove the nut on the small gear and use the same puller to pull that gear also. There you go. It took me longer to modify the puller than to remove the gears

5th gear

It's just a gear puller with the jaws ground down so they're thin.

Standard stuff for pulling gears when you don't have much room behind them.
