F35 Trans Question

Hey guys I just acquired am f35 LSD for next to nothing. Basically paid scrap for it. It is completely functional except for one thing.

Around the input shaft where the TOB mounts, 2 out of 3 of the holes are drilled out/grinded pretty badly. There is no way I could helicoil them, I was wondering if anyone had any input on what I should do? I found a new bellhousing for $275 I was wondering how involved removing the bell housing is. I don't want to scrap this low mile trans just because so idiot messed it up.

How do you find these transmissions for less than $1000? I've been hunting for one for a long time, it's a tough search. ..maybe if I lived closer to Canada..

I know a few people that work at a local GM salvage parts. Morad in Cleveland, OH. They deal with mostly 3800s and ecotecs. They bought a non running SS repo at an auction for cheap. They tore it down and saw the TOB had one bolt in it. Its useless until I figure out how to fix it. They got the car so cheap they didn't want to mess with it, so he manager hooked me up because I do a lot of business with them.

I wish it was that easy, I would have done it. There is no where near enough metal left to tap.

I figured to get it welded, I would have to take the case apart and I don't know how in depth of a procedure that would be on this trans. I don't know if welding the holes would be a good idea with the trans still in tact.
