Still talking to shep about ratio changes. What do you 4.05 guys think you want your 3rd and 4th to end at?
3.82 guys chime in as well |
All the guys that were interested need to look at this. I bet most of them don't even know a price has been released

Quaifes a bunch of Idiots. Their shit is way over priced and made for the the high bucks market. I dont even know why they wasted their time on the F35.

Bump for the shep gears. They're better

Actually, I don't think they are idiots, but, they were mislead. They were promised to have their gear set as an option for the US made Eco Atom's. Guess what, it never happened for them as they were never added to the option sheet. I don't know if Brammo Motorsports ever even placed one in a car. To bad it is a great gear set. I know I enjoy mine!
How is the ole Atom doing, these days? |

Most people don't know about the gears being available... know anything about the specs on the gears... or know WHERE to buy the gears.

I speaking specifically about the EMCO gears. I'd be interested in a set of EMCO's if I knew anything about them (actual ratios, material used to make them, estimated power they'd be able to hold, etc).
|
Um....contact EMCO, Im sure theyd be happy to tell you everything you need to know
|
Well, duh. That's too much like work though. :p:
|
What's wrong with our gears? Just out of curiosity
|
Also those emco's are for a f23 powell said. We dont have that tranny anyway. Now if we could put a f23 in these cars that would be the way to go, there are a couple low 10 second cavi's with that tranny holding up well.

And you can put an F23 in our cars. A handful of people have done it... just takes a liiiiiiittle bit of modification. Kennyspec was one of the first, if not THE first, to do it. I believe he had a thread about it on CSSU, if you wanna look it up. IDK if he posted anything about it on here or not. |

Now I'm confused. So they're NOT for the F35?

Powell just says M35 instead of F35.

u argued the m over f. meh. its a non issue anyway. no one is spending the money it takes to re do this transmission for drag racing it seems. sub'd this thread for interest. |

Yea just up on this page powell says its for the f23/m35 tranny. And as far as I know the internals are different between the two so it wont work. However this swap deal is interesting, not to put it in this thread, but I have read the cavi guys going low 10's with the stock f23 tranny, dont know how true that is.
rest easy. well prepped well driven really well shifted all 4 gears, the guy was a total package and is selling the car for 8 k a bargoon http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/DSCN0809.jpg http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/DSCN0810.jpg |
Well I didnt know that if it said m35 it was the same as f35. Its no big deal anyway. I think I am just going to run this tranny till it blows, maybe I will get lucky and it will go 10's so I can put all the nay sayers to shame that say it will never last. Now it may blow the first time out, if it does, well then we will talk about what will be best to do.
