FINALLY an option for us f35 guys. READ!

Shepard Racing didn't have that problem with selling DSM trans upgrades in Stages, most people I knew opted for the stage 2, not stage 1 rebuild. Stage 3 was reserved for the hardcore enthusiast.
A DSM stage 1 is basically what we will get (if that) minus options.
If you guys want a stronger rebuilt stock trans why not go with ZZP's?

^^^ If people are lucky thats all it will be. Shepards stuff has always been more expensive then his competitors stuff on the exact same transmission builds for other cars.
You add that plus the fact he will be the only one offering a service like this, I see some money having to be forked out by the buyer.

ya there was almost 10 model years of cars for two different companies that the tranny could work for, so its feasable to put more into it. We are talking 5 years of cobalt ss and only what 2-3 years of HHR SS. The number difference is VASTLY different, so if your playing percentages it makes a lot of sense to do more work on the dsm stuff then it does the cobalts.

Theres quite a few 2.0 Turbo Saabs with that same trans. Saab is using the Direct Injection engine 2010 and up. the 2.0T will be available with a six-speed manual.

Well to be honest I'm not gonna throw out a bunch of money for a stronger factory trans, then have to turn around, pull my trans out again to have a longer 1st gear put in.
I understand what John is saying, but from a consumer point of view, I don't want to have to keep pulling my trans out, shipping it and put it back in everytime something new becomes available that I want for my transmission.
IMO, its better to have those options right from the get go, get them out of the way, install and enjoy.

If it wont explode when I am pushing close to 500whp I'm down for sure
Put me on the list... If I don't buy a new house next year the trans will go in... as long as I can keep my LNF ratios in the gearing.

But from a consumer point of view we have to understand that companies aren't going to do anything if there is no money in it

Well you would need to find an lsd trans or an aftermarket lsd for him to put in for you if you don't already have the g85 option. This is just a stronger gear set! So keep some of that moldy money of yours aside for this when it's ready!!!

I wont be running the cobalt, just helping out some friends that are. Its known as the Buscher shoot out, mostly an evo v. dsm thing. But they have a quick 16 that my friends will be in. It is definitly a thing to come and see, so far from the years I have gone you really dont have the ricers because they get shut up real quick so its nice. Also they have braket racing for the slower guys.
