Yes i can, first thing was the size or disc. Second was peddle pressure and the fact it wouldn't engage. And more.

Dart_SI 03-06-2012 01:09 PM

So is zzp the only 8 puck option?

Chevycobaltss3 03-06-2012 01:23 PM

No, ky clutch does make them. I ran one before

Dart_SI 03-06-2012 01:33 PM

Hmm. Id go ky if they made a decent 8 puck. More bite than a full face but easier to dd than a 6 puck.

Chevycobaltss3 03-06-2012 01:39 PM

Sorry but a 8 puck isn't more bite!!! It's less .. .. its a easier dd friction disc yes. Call them up.

This is true... Members have been mis informed for years. I dont see why more are not trusting the stage 3 KY 6 puck is the clutch to get.... Very streetable and holds awesome. Many say it feels just like stock, but holds like a champ.

noty yet.....lol,

also to the op, i was talking with jeff form lingenfelter the other day and he was tellin me that spec clucthes are so far out of balance he wouldnt even bother balancing them for an install, says he likes gmpp and exedy clutches, i am highly considering ky stage 3 after reading other posts/threads and havent heard one bad thing yet about them

On any hill I look like a 16 year old just learning how to drive stick...with 3" straight pipe exhaust it makes it sound even worse.

dont mean to steal the thread but i hav this same clutch setup in my car and i noticed that when i push in the clutch in 1st gear or any gear more noticeable in first and rev the car, my car moves forward (WTF is that all about) could it be the pressure plate?:cussing::cussing:

Pressure plate must not be releasing which means that most likely something is wrong with the hydraulic system for the throw out bearing so it is not getting enough pressure to push in the forks on the pressure plate

I had an Exedy hypersingle (6 puck ceramic + light weight flywheel)...It was nice and held my power no problem and I'm sure would have taken whatever I could throw at it...however...if I could go back...I probably would have done a full face Kevlar...puck style clutches are no fun to daily drive on...

I may order a ky 6 puck for when I install my engine but its debatable as I only have around 1000 miles on my Clutchmasters Stage 4 6 Puck.

Chevycobaltss3 03-18-2012 03:17 PM

I blew to many clutchmasters stage 4s ... Soooooooo, that should say a weeeeee bit... Ky clutch 00/000000 lol.. specs same

ei3dag3 03-19-2012 01:34 PM

just bought my stg 3 ky clutch from bohagon.
i'm excited to get it and try it out.
i really hope it does feel like stock as it is my DD.
any suggestions for breaking it in?
i'm not even sure what type of material its made out of. i kind of just bought on impulse and a few people's word on that it's a good clutch. for $350 there is no time to think or someone else will get it. :p
