funny noise when releasing clutch when downshifting...

Whats up guys, i have noticed over the last couple days that when i release the clutch while downshift at lets say 2k rpms it is making a weird noise and i feel a slight vibration in the shifter while it makes the noise. it only lasts until the clutch is completely engaged. just for that split second. the clutch feels as good as it always has since the break in was over. i have an exedy hypersingle. any thoughts appreciated....

for a better description it is similiar to the sound you get when you hit those little caution bumps on the side of the highway.

Sounds like clutch chatter. With an aftermarket clutch, you should never be close to the 2k range. You should be 2.5k at least or higher.

You did loctite the clutch plate on and the flywheel bolts, right?

not up shifting at 2k. downshifting when coming to a stop or slowing down. i had the performance shop that built my motor put it in, so i hope that they did.
