Going into Reverse?

I've noticed that sometimes when trying to shift into reverse, it is very difficult. It is almost as if the gate protecting you from a 5th to reverse shift is blocking the way. I was having a really tough time with it tonight. Anyone else have this happen? Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks.

And yes, I have a 2.2 so there is no reverse lockout.

Shift to first THEN to reverse. It's a synchro thing.

That makes sense. Now that you mentioned it, when playing with the shifter that seemed to work. But I'll probably have to keep doing that, huh?

This happens to me all the time in my SS/SC Balt...I just **** into first and back to R and it works fine. It usually only happens when the car is cold.

I do it every time, it's a habit now.

This happens to me every single day, ever since I got my new clutch. Once it goes in it's fine so ive never payed too much attention to it.
